03/17/2010 Belly Up Aspen CO
An absolutely beautiful St Patricks Day in Aspen! And what an incredible venue. The Belly Up only hold about 450 and the show was sold out early in the day. It's almost built in an amphitheatre style, with different levels that look over the dancehall floor and stage. And, of course, being St Patricks Day, it was THE day for some live Pat Green music! Oh and Clay had the most awesome big old green leprechaun hat he wore!
(I'd like to locate my front row neighbor at the concert -- you were the one who wanted to hear Texas on My Mind -- I'm the one in the lighted jacket with the list LOL. Please send me a message here if you read this)
What a GREAT show! I have friends that live in the area and they brought a TON of their friends, some who were seeing Pat for the first time. And they LOVE him. (Well, duh, how could you not?) One of them I was talking to after the show totally cracked me up. She had a few drinks in celebration of St Paddy's Day, and when we asked her and her husband what they thought, she gave this very enthusiastic "he is so HEY BUDDY". hahaha Just the way she said it was so funny!
