- Grew up in Midlothian, TX. Home schooled for three years.
- Graduated from Midlothian High School
- At 12 years old started playing Mandolin, which he learned from
his father and grandfather
- Later took lessons from Jimmie Don Bates and Joey McKenzie.
- At 14 years old started playing upright bass for "The Andy Owens
Project". Played upright with "The Andy Owens Project" for 4 years, which
took him across the United States touring Russia and the Czech Republic.
- Performed with Joey McKenzie playing Western swing. Touring Columbia, Ecuador, Brazil, Toronto and Ottawa.
- Played mandolin and guitar with "The Brent Mitchell Band", from 1996 until November 1998 when he started playing with Pat Green.
- From 1995-2001 attended University of North Texas in Denton, TX
studying Jazz Performance Bass.
- Has resided in Denton, TX. Since 1995.
